Develop drawing skills in these open studio sessions. Participants will practice drawing nude male and female models through gesture sketches and poses of longer duration. Intermediate to advanced skill levels.

Interested in life drawing, but need the basics to begin? How about new ways to approach the figure? During the regular Life Drawing sessions on the first Thursday of each month, an artist offers instruction, new steps and techniques for figure drawing. Explore new approaches to practice throughout the month. All skill levels.

Using Philbrook’s grounds as the subject, master photographer and gifted teacher, Craig Varjabedian, leads a digital photography workshop exploring the art of photographing nature. Discussion topics include composition, method and technique, and students will take their own images of the fabulous Philbrook landscape. Photographs made by students will be shared in a constructive environment to provide valuable insight on ways students can improve their own picture making skills.
