Catherine Whitney
Philbrook Chief Curator, Curator of American Art
Catherine Whitney is Chief Curator and Curator of American Art at the Philbrook Museum of Art. She received a B.A. in Art History and Studio Art from Bowdoin College in Maine and an M.A. in Art History from the University of Maryland. Whitney has held various positions at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC and Gerald Peters Gallery, Santa Fe, the latter where she curated exhibitions on artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Ansel Adams, and Max Weber.
