Villa Philbrook was the Tulsa residence of Genevieve and Waite Phillips. An Oklahoma oil man, banker, investor, and philanthropist, Waite Phillips had a profound impact upon the growth and development of Tulsa. His legacy extends far beyond the establishment of The Philbrook Museum of Art, and his generosity and forethought contributed greatly to making Tulsa the “livable” city that it is today.
