George R. Kravis II Collection

This past December, Museum trustee George R. Kravis II generously gave Philbrook 100 works of modern and contemporary design. Beginning September 8, the Museum will proudly highlight approximately 50 selected works from this exceptional collection.

The exhibition, curated by David A. Hanks, curator of The Liliane and David M. Stewart Program for Modern Design at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, will be presented in a newly conceived gallery designed by Wendy Evans Joseph Architecture of New York.

This collection and installation will provide an entirely new facet to the visitor's experience. Not only does the opening of this gallery highlight Mr. Kravis's informed passion as a collector, it gives the Museum an occasion to publicly recognize his longstanding dedication and his leadership in building and enhancing the Museum's collection.
