Festival of Trees Schedule
2007 Festival of Trees Celebrates the House Beautiful This year the festival will celebrate Philbrook's special exhibition, Frank Lloyd Wright and the House Beautiful, with objects to brighten any home or garden. Tulsa-area professional artists have created unique interpretations of the theme for the art show and sale, showcased in the museum and the gardens. Invited designers will offer special trees. Fanciful gingerbread houses and holiday trees created by area students will be on display and for sale as well.
Admission is $8.50 during Festival of Trees; $6.50 for Seniors, Students, Groups of 10 or more; Children 18 and younger and members are always free.
Sponsor/Patron Party & Treeview Party Friday, November 16 Sponsor/Patron Party 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Treeview Party 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. These are 'the' parties to open the holiday season! The Sponsor/Patron and Treeview parties boast the first opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind creations and a chance to meet the participating artists. The event will capture the House Beautiful theme with entertainment, food and fun. If you plan to attend any holiday parties this year, these are the ones!
Members Day Saturday, November 17, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Philbrook's annual holiday gift to members features holiday treats, photos with Santa and special performances by the Tulsa Boys Singers, Tulsa Oratorio Chorus, Council Oak Men's Chorale and All Souls Children's and Youth Choir. Please take the opportunity to see and buy one-of-a-kind holiday creations by area artists, gingerbread houses and holiday trees. The 2007 Festival of Trees will be a memorable treat for the entire family. Guests are welcome for $5.00 per person.
Wright Night Member Dinner Thursday, November 29, 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. Celebrate a night in Frank Lloyd Wright's suburbia. Wright influenced America's housing more than any other single person, so take a step back in time for a retro dinner party celebrating the nostalgic icons of the era. Enjoy dinner in la Villa Restaurant followed by a private evening at Philbrook as you enjoy the exhibition, Festival of Trees and leisurely browse in the Museum Shop. Space is limited, so make your reservations early.
Toyland Party Saturday, December 1, 9:30 a.m. - Noon Children, ages 4-10, will enjoy their own special party with a Toy Solider theme. Activities include a complimentary photo with Santa, holiday crafts, special refreshments and storytelling. Space is limited, so make your reservations early.
Quilt Raffle Drawing Sunday, December 2, 4:45 p.m. Philbrook's quilters have returned to create another one-of-a-kind heirloom, titled "Home is Where the Heart Is." Purchase a ticket in the Museum Shop to be in the drawing for this special item.
Four x Four Sunday, December 2, 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. This sell-out event, for members only, is always an evening to remember. The event features four gorgeous mid-town homes and four Tulsa chefs each preparing gourmet delights. The event begins with champagne at Philbrook followed by trolley rides from home-and-chef to home-and-chef.
