Photography
Visitor Photography
All paying guests and current members are welcome to take photographs of the Museum, the collection and the gardens, using handheld still or video cameras, under the following guidelines:
• Non-professional photography is allowed during museum hours only.
• Flash photography is not allowed in the Museum.
• Visitors may not photograph temporary exhibitions or art on loan to the Museum.
• Images are for personal use only and must not be reproduced for commercial purposes. *See Policies for Professional Photographers below.
• Photography must not interfere with the enjoyment of other guests.
• Philbrook Museum and its employees are not responsible for loss or damages to photographic equipment.
• Dressing rooms are not available and restrooms may not be used for changing clothes.
• To preserve the art and grounds:
o Food and drink are not allowed in the galleries or gardens
o Props are not allowed, including pets.
o Moving or rearranging furniture, art work, garden sculptures, fixtures or planted material is not allowed.
• For visitor’s safety and security:
o Tripods are not allowed.
o Access to pathways and garden areas may not be blocked at any time.
o Climbing on rocks, walls the cultivated hillsides or planted embankments in the garden is not allowed.
o Philbrook reserves the right to limit access to areas of the Museum and gardens.
Student Photography
Philbrook Museum will consider student photography or filming projects. The guidelines that apply to the general public, also apply to students projects.
In addition:
• Written proposal must be submitted 10 days prior to proposed photography or filming.
• A valid student ID is required.
