Join us in the studio for an exploration of basic screen printing (or serigraph) techniques. Participants will learn the fundamentals of the printing process: design and composition, preparing a screen, mixing ink, layering and registration, and more. Using a photo emulsion process, each participant will produce multicolored print editions of their work on paper and fabric. All supplies are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
About the Instructor
Hershel Self is a graphic designer, screen printer, and photographer based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His recent body of work highlights the city’s iconic art-deco architecture. Self is passionate about sharing his creative skills with anyone who is curious about this dynamic process.
