Join us for a special screening of the groundbreaking 1983 documentary Style Wars, followed by an insightful post-film Q&A featuring Tulsa-based artists and creators Trueson Daugherty, VNICE, and representatives from No Parking Studios.

Considered the definitive cinematic portrait of early hip-hop culture, Style Wars captures 1980s New York City as young artists transform the urban landscape into a canvas of vibrant creativity and expression. Directors Tony Silver and Henry Chalfant document the unvarnished rivalry, artistry, and passion of young graffiti writers, breakers, and MCs asserting their identity amidst a rapidly changing city. Decades after its release, the film remains an essential, vital record of public art, youth culture, and the roots of a global movement.
