Rediscover the art of embroidery through a contemporary lens. This class will explore exciting new applications, including textural stitching, “painted” compositions, contemplative mending, and embellished photographs. Participants will be guided through a sampling of various techniques before developing an independently designed final piece. Additionally, a resource guide and sketchbook will be provided to continue your embroidery exploration at home. All supplies are included with tuition. Beginner-friendly.

About Stay Gold:
While open to all adults, Stay Gold classes are designed to center the experience of adults 55+. In keeping with the principles of Creative Aging*, these classes prioritize a distinct standard of instructional style, environmental accessibility, and psychosocial considerations intended to support older adult learners in the studio.
