Philbrook is looking for artwork to include in The Pet Project, a juried exhibition celebrating the incredible relationship between people and their pets! The Pet Project will open in February 2027 in the Mezzanine Gallery. If you have a pet painting, print, or sculpture you’d like to share, submit it for consideration.

Artwork must:

• Feature a pet!

• Be smaller than 60” high and 48” wide or 24 (H) x 36 x 18” for 3-dimensional work.

• Be in good, ready-to-hang condition (including hanging hardware for 2-dimensional work and a stable base if 3-dimensional).  

We expect to receive many more submissions than we can include, so know that while we’ll probably fall in love with all of them, we can only include approximately 20-25 artworks in the gallery. Other submissions may be included in an in-gallery video and / or on social media!

To Submit

Complete the form here, including the artist’s name, title, date, medium, and size by October 15. Include a digital photo (jpg, pdf, or tif) of max 10mb. Only one submission per person, please.  

The Fine Print

• Museum staff will professionally install all artwork, which should be delivered on a specified date framed and ready to hang, and picked up at the end of the exhibition.  

• To qualify, submissions must not include living or dead plants or animals or materials that are edible, wet, toxic, or otherwise dangerous.

• Artwork must be handmade. AI created work will not be accepted.

• Selection committee will prioritize non-photographic media.

• Artists must reside in Oklahoma.

• Artwork in the exhibition is for display only and will not be for sale.  

• By submitting your artwork, you agree to allow Philbrook to reproduce, photograph, telecast, and / or print the artwork in connection with the Exhibition for press, publicity, archival, publications, and any future purposes.
