This year's annual Festival pin is created in partnership with the Tulsa Glassblowing School (TGS), located just off historic Route 66. Founded in 2007, TGS works with vulnerable youth and adults to provide a chance to work with the beauty of glass art. The team at TGS and featured artist, Chuchen Song, worked together to design this years tree pin. Utilizing fusible sheet glass, the imagery is created by coating natural foliage with glass powder, firing in a kiln, and then burning away the remaining foliage--leaving the glass powder impression. This design is inspired by Chuchen's love for traditional kiln formed glass and her passion for gardening.
